The Committee + Wasabi
Appearing Live at Moes Alley
Wednesday, May 21st
Blues, Rock soul & Funk Double Bill
9:00 PM, $5/8,

The Committee is the culmination of prominent individual musicians assembling to participate in the original creative arm of the neo-soul revolution.

Though The Committee's members have played various genres and engagements, from the Symphony of the Redwoods to the Montreaux Jazz Festival, their union brings them back to the roots of their musical passion. Their list of venues represents a rise to the top of the local soul, funk, and blues scene.

Credits include appearances on the popular 107.5 KPIG's "Please Stand By," hosted by Sleepy John, openings for renowned artists as Tommy Castro, Leon Russel, Roy Rogers, John Lee Hooker Jr., and The Mother Truckers, to name a few.

Wasabi
is a modern power trio of guitar, bass and drums. The foundation is a funky and rocking meld of world party music, approached with modern jazz harmony and electric stylings. Bottom line is a celebration of life enjoyment through exploring Music and Dance. Compositions draw from the styles of super heavy James Brown to New Orleans Meters funk to Zeppelin to some hard driving Salsa to various points of Africa to Trinidad/Tobago to the Moon.
