Moe's Alley presents a live music showcase with Boostive, Rainbow Girls, & TV Broken 3rd Eye Open.

BOOSTIVE- Boostive's massive sound is the product of seven young musician's unique musical influences. Drawing from elements from everything from gritty hip hop to ambient electronic and back world music, they create a powerful trance-like atmosphere for their audiences and easily fit in to any kind of musical setting. Originally started by four lifelong friends in san diego, a move to Santa Cruz brought the missing pieces of the puzzle with the addition of the last three members. The recording of the self titled EP in 2012 signified they were ready to begin playing shows professionally. Since then, boostive has taken off and even had the pleasure of playing numerous music festivals and opening up for some of their most respected influences like Heiroglyphics, The Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief, Slightly Stoopid, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Zion i, and Gramatik. The group now gigs around California regularly and is constantly creating new material, keeping the spirit and energy alive and changing. With a full length album recorded and on the way to being released and the release of their second EP "Feed the People"(2014), boostive is moving forward with their momentum every day.

RAINBOW GIRLS- Erin Chapin, Caitlin Gowdey, and Vanessa May -the dynamic trio known as Rainbow Girls- have already emerged as a much-loved live act both abroad and on their California home turf. They began their musical journey in 2011, alternating between busking around Europe and touring the US as a rock n' roll band, before embarking on a stripped down House Concert Tour Across America* in 2017.

Rainbow Girls' discerning sensibility in regards to living in the United States is acutely reflected in their impassioned debut record as a trio, "American Dream." The recently released album highlights their rich harmonies, ageless songwriting, and soulful, bluesy sound at its rawest form. Their music might best be described as "a gang of sweet angels punching you in the heart."

The ladies came together at an underground open mic in Santa Barbara, CA in December of 2010 and spent the following summer busking and couch surfing around Europe. Since then they have released three studio albums, toured the US and Europe extensively, been featured on KQED's The California Report, and shared the stage with The Brothers Comatose, ALO, John Craigie, Josiah Johnson (The Head and the Heart), and Handmade Moments.

TV Broken 3rd Eye Open is an eclectic and versatile seven piece band that fuses together a multitude of musical styles from across the world into a psychedelic explosion of sound. Equipped with didgeridoos, saxophones, sitars, guitars, world percussion, drums, bass, flutes, harmonicas, banjos, and the kitchen sink; it is a musical ensemble like no other. The band draws inspiration from a myriad of musical genres such as afro funk, jazz, psychedelic groove, Indian, folk, blues, and even spaghetti western circus cabaret. Though the bandís sound is unique in itís own right, the TV Broken 3rd Eye Open experience also has a significant visual component. Every show involves a custom designed, state of the art, TV totem 3D projection mapping stage. The stage is composed of four 15 foot tall totem poles of broken TVs and a giant thrid eye. Stunning visuals of sacred geometry and psychedelic imagery are then projected on to the stage to combine with the music to make for a truly unique experience.
