Moe's Alley welcomes The Skawflaws, Aq1notx & neXusROCK for a live music showcase not to be mssed.

The Skaflaws started in Mid 2005 when 4 friends and fellow students spent their lunch periods jamming on Sublime songs in an abandoned classroom. After two full years they finally graced the main stage of The Catalyst in Downtown SC and have been regulars ever since. And in true ska fashion, the list of band members continues to grow since the original four with the additions of Greg Samuels on keyboards and Connor Braschi of the Drunken Seagulls on rhythm guitar/bass. Still playing music because they want to and because it moves the people around them.

CA born and raised. Aq1notx has called La Selva Beach, Northern CA home for the majority of his existence. Re-located to CalState Northridge, North L.A. in 2013.

neXusROCK is a tight and potent 5 piece rock band of best friends that grew up jamming and writing songs in the East Bay Area. Their rhythm section’s jazz roots bring a solid foundation to lay funky rock guitars on top of melodic keyboard chords, machine gun poetry, and vocal melodies. Jallah’s musicality and keyboard styles opened new doors for inspiration, and solidified the neXus sound. After the first jam session with Jallah keys, the core members knew they found the final piece they’ve been looking for. With Chris and Ryan’s Jazz band chemistry, Jason’s natural song writing talents, Jallah’s insane knowledge of music theory, and Brian’s percussion like rhythms and lyrical paintbrush, neXusROCK is sure to make you wet your pants.

For over 10 years, the group has evolved and meshed many styles and influences into a melting pot of sound. From Rock to Rap, Reggae to Funk, or even Jazz to Metal, no rock is left unturned in their minds. In 2007 the group released their 1st full length compilation album featuring artists from Nexus Audio Studio in Oakland, CA; run by drummer and owner Chris Paxton, “the studio” was founded by the band in 2005 when they strived to find a place to record their ideas. Throughout the rise of Nexus Audio Studio, the band members have invested time and enjoyed the benefits of recording their brand new album BLUE ALERT. WRITTEN, RECORDED, ENGINEERED, PRODUCED and MIXED completely by the band led by lead engineer/producer Chris Paxton. Mastering for BLUE ALERT was by Mike Wells at Mike Wells Mastering in Los Angeles, CA.
